We are seeking a Chicago-based Client Partner to foster long-term, trusting relationships with our clients and drive business growth. In this role, you will be responsible for developing new business opportunities by proactively seeking and nurturing sales leads. The ideal candidate is skilled at building relationships and understanding client needs, with a focus on delivering exceptional value.  

What does a Client Partner do? 

Responsibilities include developing strong relationships with potential customers, connecting with key business executives and stakeholders to identify new business opportunities. Candidates for this role will know how to meet ambitious individual and team-wide revenue quotas. 

Responsibilities 

  • Establish and grow relationships with key C-level executives and senior leaders within client organizations by leveraging prospecting, marketing leads, and expanding connections within accounts. 

  • Gain a deep understanding of clients' business and technical needs to recommend solutions that provide tangible business value and measurable ROI. 

  • Analyze the competitive landscape and articulate unique advantages to stay ahead in competitive pursuits. 

  • Manage all stages of the sales cycle, including lead identification, scope definition, proposal creation, client presentations, and contract negotiation. 

  • Nurture opportunities and move them to closed deals 

  • Maintain a strong sales pipeline and ensure forecast accuracy through discovery sessions and regular meetings with clients and partners. 

  • Manage contract processes for new deals, including negotiating pricing and commercial terms. 

  • Develop SOWs and ensure necessary documentation is prepared and executed (NDAs, MSAs, SOWs, Pos) 

  • Collaborate closely with DragonSpears’ delivery teams to create persuasive, customized proposals that align with client objectives and support ongoing opportunities across all DragonSpears’ practices. 

  • Serve as the lead point of contact for all customer account management matters 

  • Assess potential business risks and develop mitigation plans. 

  • Conduct initial check-ins with clients to ensure a smooth start 

  • Conduct quarterly and annual sessions with existing clients to understand their vision and business goals and share with the DragonSpears team 

  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives 

  • Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders 

  • Forecast and track key account metrics (e.g., quarterly sales results and annual forecasts) 

Requirements 

  • Proven work experience as a Client Partner, Account Manager, or relevant role 

  • Demonstrable ability to communicate, present, and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including executive and C-level 

  • Experience with complex, relationship-driven sales processes, focusing on understanding client's needs and providing value before initiating sales. 

  • Experience with CRM software (e.g., HubSpot preferred)  

  • Experience delivering client-focused solutions to customer needs 

  • Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail 

  • Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation abilities 

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills 

  • BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Sales, or relevant field 

  • Sandler sales training or equivalent sales training. 

  • This position is remote but may require occasional travel.
